Like many people of a certain age in North America I was introduced to eastern traditions through the TM movement, and I am always grateful to my first teacher, the embodiment of generosity, Annie Holtby, for providing the starting point for my engagement in these subjects.

I began to study Ayurveda for my own healing in the mid 1980s, when I first met Dr. Robert Svoboda, who has been doctor, mentor, business partner, and friend through these past decades. By 1992 had seen a Jyotishi in my home town of Vancouver. I was taken by a friend somewhat unwillingly, and it must be said that I went with significant skepticism. After one particularly precise prediction came true on the very day it was to occur, I began to pay attention, and when within a very short time another Jyotishi came to Vancouver, I decided to willingly offer the attention. With that I met the esteemed Hart de Fouw, whose student I became almost immediately.

I have been blessed indeed to have access to the vast accomplishment, deep compassion and continued patience of this man, who stands as one of the true giants in Jyotisha and related subjects.

Over the 20 years I have studied with Hart, he has provided guidance and keys to astrology, astronomy, palmistry, Samkhya and Vedanta, the tantras, Vaastu Shastra, and has supported the study of Samskrta and Ayurveda.

In addition to my ongoing studies and practice in Jyotisha and Vaastu, I teach at various locations in North and Central America.
